I don’t mean I’m unimpressed.

I somehow fell right off the rails.

I can’t decide on what to do -
If you want to hide, it’s up to you.
Winning all the time is the latest fashion
This is what you want and it may not happen.
I’m trading in around the track,
Parading in and out the back,
Running over rides in the same old pattern,
Learning all the lines when it doesn’t matter,
I follow the shadows to the light
For a sign of fortune to arrive -
A racehorse, untethered, running wild,
In the wide open country, once in a while.

Around a mile about it,
And I heard it all around.
I’ll be fine without it,
Affirming all I found -
I’ll try to follow further down.
If we fight about it,
And our games are out of line,
I’m inclined to doubt it -
In a way I wouldn’t mind.
So fire away - I’m far behind.
The days alone, divided,
Call to mountains, fall to rise.
And when I tried to shout it
There’s no surprise in no reply.
Tomorrow’s undecided
And all the mountains seem alive.
